Jennifer is a physiotherapist with expertise in obesity management. She works as a lecturer and researcher at the University of Liverpool, teaching on the undergraduate and post-graduate physiotherapy programmes. Jennifer previously worked in the specialist weight management services in Liverpool prior undertaking her NIHR funded PhD. Her research has focused on the development of a theory and evidence based complex intervention targeting physical activity and sedentary behaviour for people who had undergone bariatric surgery.
Jennifer lectures at other Universities in the UK and was recently a specialist member of a NICE early value assessment for the development of digital technologies for delivering multidisciplinary weight-management services. She has published in peer reviewed journals, contributed to a book chapter and is a member of BOMSS (British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society) and ASO (Association for the Study of Obesity).
